Calathea lietzei - White Fusion

One of the more famous, or infamous Calatheas. The Calathea Whithttps://admin.shopify.com/store/thepaintedleaf/products?selectedView=all&query=fusione Fusion is STUNNING! But we don't have to tell you that. Just look at the pictures! Soft white and green colour each leaf in brushstroke-like lines. The undersides of some of the leaves showcase a pale purple tint, which signifies the classic Calathea colour. However, the purple is softer and paler than other plants in the Calathea genus. These plants tend to be lower-growing plants commonly found as ground cover in a jungle. With that knowledge, their water and light requirements in the following tabs make sense.

As part of the Marantaceae (prayer plant) family,  these plants also move their leaves in a praying hands method throughout the day. It is awesome to see their leaves in different positions in the morning and at night!
