Similar to its cousin, Tradescantia albiflora albo-vittata, the Tradescantia fluminensis variegata is a beautiful mix of green and different shades of yellowy cream. One difference that you will spot right away is the larger sections of the most beautiful creamy yellow colouring. Such a pretty plant! This is an easy-care plant, that will continue to trail as it grows. Have a look at the care requirements in the next tabs.

Light Requirements

Medium to High

This plant loves bright indirect light, and will maintain or increase its white variegation when given adequate light. The plant can survive in lower light settings, but may reach for the light source, and become greener.

Water Requirements

Frequent

These plants like consistently moist (not consistently wet!) soil. Water frequently in the summer months to maintain the moisture in the soil. Be mindful of your watering during the winter. Do not let the soil stay wet and waterlogged. Note: Be sure not to let the plant sit in pooled water as that can cause root rot.
