Philodendron squamiferum (hairy)
Couldn't load pickup availability
A unique beauty to add to the Philodendron collection. The Philodendron squamiferum (hairy version) is just as it is called: "hairy". It has these tiny red hairs along the stem when it matures. In its young version, which we have, the hairs may be lighter coloured. As it matures, its leaves also develop multiple lobes near the base, giving it an elongated leaf shape. This plant is sure to give you jungle vibes in your space once it matures!
These are toxic to pets, so be careful with your furry friends.
Note: Plants are unique! The plant pictured is meant to give you an idea of the specification and quality of the plant you will receive, but will not be an exact replica.

Light Requirements
Light Requirements
Variable
This plant grows best, with the most vibrant colours in bright, but indirect light. Direct light is too intense, and can cause burning and fading of leaves. Low light is tolerable, but be prepared for smaller, less vibrant leaves.
Water Requirements
Water Requirements
Moderate
This Philodendron likes moist soil, but not soaked. Watering when the top 1" of soil are dry is best. Err on the drier side during winter. Note: Be sure not to let the plant sit in pooled water as that can cause root rot.

i’ve bought a few plants from the painted leaf now and they’ve all shown up so happy and quickly! i’m so excited to add this hairy guy to my collection.
Beautiful plant. The hairy stems look so different. An amazing plant
We LOVE those hairy stems! Thanks so much for your review Marilyn!
I am hoping that the plant will survive. It didn't get through shipping well and most of the foliage was broken off. Since we buy these for the foliage, it was very sad to see most of it fall out of the packaging.
Hi Anna,
Thanks for your feedback! When speaking to you on Instagram you seemed happy with the service you received after we heard about your broken plant, so we were disappointed to see this review afterwards.
Nonetheless, we're hoping that your plant recovers well after losing the leaves during shipping :) As mentioned, feel free to reach out to us if any further issues arise!
