Ficus elastica 'Shivereana'

The Ficus elastica  'Shivereana' is a hybrid of the classic Ficus elastica plants we are familiar with. The leaves range from a mint green to cream colour, with darker green speckles and sections throughout the leaf. The new leaves that grow can start off with a pink hue, before settling to its normal green-speckled colour.

The care is similar to the other Ficus elastica plants, but this plant can be a bit more finicky when not given the optimal conditions, or if you move it often. Also, avoid placing these plants in drafty areas. Please see the care requirements in the following tabs.

These are toxic to pets, so be careful with your furry friends. The sap can also be toxic to humans if in contact with mucous membranes. When pruning the plant, make sure that you wash your hands after and do not touch your eyes and mouth.
