Ficus benjamina "El Dorado"
Talk about a mini tree! The Ficus benjamina "El Dorado" is probably one of the easier-care, highly-variegated plants available. Part of the ficus family, but with much smaller leaves from your classic Ficus elastica! This variegated version of the Ficus benjamina is also not to be confused with the regular Ficus Benjamin variegate which has more solid variegation. This one has lovely, speckled yellow variegation, with some leaves being solid yellow-cream colour. Avoid placing these plants in drafty areas, and be sure to follow the light requirements in the next tab.
These are toxic to pets, so be careful with your furry friends. The sap can also be toxic to humans if in contact with mucous membranes. When pruning the plant, make sure that you wash your hands after and do not touch your eyes and mouth.
