The Colocasia escuelenta Mojito has a few other names: Taro plant or Elephant Ear plant. Talk about an edgy plant! At first glance, you may think it got splashed with mud, but on closer look, it actually looks like a type of camouflage. The light green leaves are speckled with a deep, practically black contrasting colour.

These are toxic to pets, so be careful with your furry friends.ย

Note: Plants are unique! The plant pictured is meant to give you an idea of the specification and quality of the plant you will receive, but will not be an exact replica.

Light Requirements

Bright indirect

These leaves should be able to handle some periods of direct sunlight, and as many periods of bright indirect light. If the light is too intense, you may notice some bleaching. You can pull the plant further from the window in this instance. However, provide this plant with sufficient light to grow its large leaves.

Water Requirements

Moderate

It is very important to keep the soil of your Colocasia plants moist during the growing season, and provide the plant with as high humidity as you can. Lower humidity and not enough water will cause yellowing of the leaf. Note: Be sure not to let the plant sit in pooled water as that can cause root rot. Look out for brown, mushy leaves which is a tell-tale sign of overwatering.

This is the most beautiful plant EVER. It arrived in perfect shape and still perfectly moist.
As always, I had the BEST customer service. This is one of the very very few shops I feel confident buying healthy plants from, and thatโ€™s exactly why I will keep coming back for years to come.
Thank you so much for offering this beauty in your shop! Iโ€™ve wanting to find one for years now! โค๏ธ
