We consider this plant to be the cousin to the Philodendron micans. The velvety leaves resemble the micans, however the shape is slightly different. Additionally, this plant is less likely than the micans to be bushy. One of the major appeals of the Philodendron melanochrysum is the irresistibly velvety leaves that tend to get larger and larger if given a moss pole to climb. It is hard to stop yourself from touching these leaves!
Best of all, this philodendron is as easy to care for as the other plants in the Philodendron genus. Be sure to read the care instructions in the other tabs.
These are toxic to pets, so be careful with your furry friends.
